We are two friends with a passion for the culinary art and for spectacular Umbria, so rich in tradition and history. This passion for cuisine and good wine has united us for a great challenge: to re-open an historic restaurant, using the same name that nonno Luigi gave it in 1924: Osteria Pozzo della Mensa.
Our idea was and still is, a restaurant where you will find traditional dishes as well as new ones, but always tied to this area, recipes that offer a perfect combination of quality and flavour. The search for medieval recipes rich in anecdotes that we could modernise with completely different produce and flavours. A restaurant designed for pleasant conversation without haste, a place to sip wine or grappa and enjoy the fragrances and sensations.
Large choice of dishes from medieval times with strong ties to the Umbrian farming traditions but also modern recipes and international experiments. Always attentive to the needs of our guests, through the use of quality produce, a must for the Osteria, and always ready to satisfy the needs of vegetarians and our youngest guests as well as the preparation of gluten free meals.

The wine card can undergo variations according to the resources of the wine cellar or enrichment with "New Entries" to make the choice more complete, for all your desires. Each week you can try a glass of classical or international wines. We define them as "the weekly guests", but perhaps it‘s just a small expedient so as to visit the world with it‘s colours and flavours.
