The Pievasciata Holiday Farm is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, in the immediate vicinity of the rural village of Pievasciata, famous for one of the oldest Romanesque churches in the area of Siena. The church, dedicated to S. Giovanni Battista, was already noted in 1086 and parts of the fortifications are still visible, such as the bell tower.
The holidays farm is composed of two fully renovated buildings, one called "Poggino" for 2 people and the other "Osteria" for 6 people (with swimming pool), both in a wonderful setting with superb views of Siena and the Chianti hills.
The surrounding area is also rich in historic and artistic sites such as Brolio Castle, the Church of S. Polo in Rosso and Vertine Castle.
The Pievasciata Holiday Farm is part of the vast S. Giovanni a Cerreto farm, property of the Avanzati Bernardi family for over 300 years, located just 5km distance, in the direction of Pianella. The farm produces Chianti Classico wine and extra virgin olive oil and has a farm shop where you can purchase and taste the products.
