Born from a passion for cooking and hospitality of two brothers, Alessandro and Daniele, the Restaurant La Contea 2, in Ostia, aims at rediscovering and improving the tradition of good food through careful selection of ingredients, the correct techniques of cooking, the great varieties of wines and when possible, through the reviewing of typical regional dishes with a modern twist.
The restaurant offers a menu based on the setting and seasonal produce, with Mediterranean dishes. You'll find something to delight everyone, starting with delicious "antipasti" then on to first courses of fish or meat, then succulent main courses and ending with mouth watering desserts, all home-made, as is the fresh pasta, without forgetting the excellent pizzas prepared with a long leavened dough and with an eye to the traditional fried Roman specialities (supplì, courgette flowers, salt cod...)
The environment is informal and welcoming, with smiling expert staff.
