Il Cavallino Rosso acheives one of the most important aims of the holiday farm: to close the gap between urban culture and rural culture, marked, from the start of the 60s, by the massive exodus of workers from the countryside and agriculture to industry and service sector. The Cavallino Rosso is, infact, an educational farm that offers courses for the preparation of foodstuffs (preserves, bread, cold meats, cheese and gastronomy), for ecological observation and environmental education, for agricultural production (visits to the farm and explanations of the various phases of production of each crop and livestock), aimed particularly at students and also assocciations in general and organized groups.
We offer guided tours of the farm with the presentation of one or more products or ecological themes. The visit is generally followed by a classroom discussion with the guests, by some simple practical excercises useful for the active participation of students in the learning process, and also projections incorporating the direct experiences on the farm.
The pride of the farm are the horse shows with dinner, that are certainly appreciated by young and old.
The restaurant is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Lunch on prior booking and is available on request for theme parties and receptions.
Particular attention is also paid to the provision of products such as wine, cakes, fruit and vegetables in season.
