The Vino e Camino Restaurant in Rome is located in one of the most beautiful and fascinating of the historic Roman town centers, in Piazza dell'oro, right in front of the magnificent via Giulia and the wonderful Church of S. Giovanni dei Fiorentini from the 1500s and 1600s, just a short walk from Castel Sant'Angelo.
The characteristic of the restaurant is the result of the amalgamantion of the various activities in which where once the utility rooms of the building.
The charm of the restaurant is the fact that traces of the previous activities haven't been roemoved but exhalted and also here, as in the restaurant of Bracciano, you'll find crossed vaulted ceilings and brick arches. The environment is enhanced by a magnificent wood burning oven covered in tiles from Vietri.
The philosophy of our cuisine is that of combining simplicity, quality and creativity. We start with the ingredients that are carefully selected, using as far as possible the "0 km philosophy".
In Cristina's kitchen Cacio e Pepe is always present (for which she has received the 5 best prize of the Gambero Rosso Guide) and strozzapreti (pasta) all'amatriciana, in homage to her origins in Abruzzo. But she also loves the cuisine of other areas, so you'll find broad bean purèe from Puglia but with wild chicory, typically Roman or marrow traditional of Mantova served creamed or in spelt risotto.
The menu varies according to the season and demand. So in winter you'll find hearty soups, in summer cosucous with octopus and lettuce rolls filled with pike and lard of Colonnata.
For Easter, roast leg of lamb stuffed with artichokes is a must.
The wood burning oven expands the choice of dishes such as carasau bread with capers, olives, tomatoes, mozzarella and percorino cheese, or veal shin cooked whole on a bed of potatoes and mushrooms and much more.
If you prefer fish then choose the tartar of tuna or sword fish with avocado, sea bass ravioli with cherry tomatoes, pasta with razor clams and courgettes or redfish cream with squid ink pasta.
Desserts are all home-made on the premises.
We invite you to visit the restaurant Vino e Camino di Bracciano page.
