The relais Riserva di Fizzano is a medieval “borgo” (hamlet) owned by the Rocca delle Macìe winery, which rises up on a hilltop in the heart of the Chianti Classico production zone, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
Located nearby the ancient “Via Francigena”, halfway between Siena and Florence and close to San Gimignano and Volterra, the relais comprises six buildings which play host to a total of 19 apartments, along with gardens and extensive landscaped areas, a chapel, two swimming pools, a bar, a restaurant and a small retail outlet selling the wines, olive oil and honey made by Rocca delle Macìe.
There are two main types of apartment at the complex: the two-room apartment, which has one bedroom, a bathroom and a living room with kitchenette; and the three-room apartment, which has 2 bedrooms, one or two bathrooms and a living room with kitchenette. All of the apartments are furnished with understated elegance in the rustic Tuscan style and afford breathtaking glimpses over the hills and valleys of the Chianti Classico production zone. The kitchenettes are equipped with everything required for cooking and, on request, the sofas in the living rooms can be used as sofa-beds.
The restaurant is located in one of the buildings in the hamlet of Fizzano and is open both to those staying at the complex and non-residents.
Some of our dishes are prepared in full accordance with authentic, traditional Tuscan recipes, whereas others reinterpret those traditions in a modern style – all of the dishes, however, are made using only the freshest seasonal ingredients.
Our own extra-virgin olive oil, vegetables from our garden and wines from our cellar complement and enrich the culinary experience on offer at the restaurant.
Light-lunch service: every day from 12:30 to 15:00, the light-lunch service offers appetizers, local charcuterie and cheeses, salads, pizzas and canapés.

Menu for Sunday 27th: brunch/barbecue, bruschette with oil, tomatoes and lard, Cheese and salami board, Chianti classico Sant'Alfonso risotto, Pici pasta with garlic, Florentine oancakes, Chianina beef hamburgers, chicken and artichoke hamburgers, sausages, lamb chops, chicken and vegetable kebabs, chicken wings with pepper and rosemary, salmon steak, squid, mixed salad with cherry tomatoes, roast potatoes with rosemary and sage. Price of package per person: 175 euros (2 nights) in 2 room apartment for 2 pers. Additional nights 40 euros per person including breakfast buffet. In three room apartment for 4 pers. for 2 nights, 150 euros. Additional nights 30 euros per person with breakfast buffet included. Stays of one night also possible.
