ANDRIA CITY
Andria, Chief Town together with Barletta and Trani of the new province of BAT established in Puglia in 2004, is a fascinating area, rich in history and culture, located just a few kilometres from the Adriatic Sea and set at the foot of the Murgia. The old town centre is striking with it's maze of tiny squares, and narrow streets in an elliptical form, where you will find interesting corners dedicated to art and folklore, among which the narrowest street in the world, the Cathedral and the Palazzo Ducale as well as other buildings dating back to the Arab Period, the Middle Ages and the 1800s. The town can also boast an immense natural heritage, that from 2004 became part of the Alta Murgia National Park. The Castel del Monte, recognised as a World Heritage Site since 1996, draws a continuous flow of visitors to the town.
