CEFALÙ CITY
Cefalu is a town in the province of Palermo in Sicily. It is located on the northern coast of Sicily, about 70 km from Palermo, at the foot of a rocky promontory. It is one of the main beach resorts in the province, in spite of it's size, each year it attracts millions of tourists from every part of Sicily as well as the rest of Italy and Europe. During the summer the population triples, crowding the squares and main streets of the town. The town is part of the Madonie Park and included in the club of the "Most Beautiful Villages of Italy", namely an exclusive association of Italian villages that stand out for artistic, cultural and historic interest, for the harmonious urban fabric, livability and services for their citizens. The old town center of Cefalu has a medieval form characterised by narrow streets, paved with pebbles from the beach and limestone from the Rocca.
