FORLÌ CITY

 
Forlì is the capital of the province of Forlì-Cesena and lies 34 meters above sea level. The first settlement here was founded by the consulate Livio Salinatore after his victory over Asdrubale at Metauro, in the 11th century it was a Ghibelline community then under the dominion of the Ordelaffi between the 14th and 15th centuries.Among the major historic buildings there are the palazzo del Podestà (with three Gothic arches decorated with terracotta reliefs, 1460).
