Novara boasts a large number of first class historic buildings: the Broletto court yard, constant object of admiration for art students, the small but precious civic Museum which contains various works of modern art, the Battistero, noted for it‘s octagonal design and its solemn fresco‘s, depicting apocalyptic scenes, and finally the splendid Chiesa di San Gaudenzio, the dome of which was erected by Antonelli, creator of the Mole di Torino.
