Oristano is situated in the western part of the region and lies at 9 mtrs asl on the plain facing the Gulf of the same name. Places to visit are the Tower of Saint Cristoforo from 1200, the remains of the city walls, the Cathedral and the church of S. Francesco.Important archaeological material can be found in the Antiquarium Arborense.
