Pordenone is situated at 24 metres above sea level on the Friuli plain.This lovely city has a prevalently modern look to it but its Old Town has been almost perfectly preserved with its Renaissance and Gothic-style buildings and with enchanting arcades which are decorated with frescoes.It is home to a range of sites, the most important of which are the Duomo di San Marco of the fifteenth century and the Palazzo Comunale of 1291 which has a Renaissance tower, home to the Pinacoteca (picture gallery) which displays 16th century works of the Venetian school.
