RIMINI CITY

Rimini lies on the Adriatic coast. From Roman times are the bridge of Tiberio, the Arch of Augusto and the amphitheatre. The remains of the malatesta city walls are from the Middle Ages as are the l’Arengo from 1204 and subsequently remodelled several times, the 14th century palazzo del Podestà and the church of S. Agostino from the 13th century. The most important building in the city is certainly the Tempio Malatestiano, built in the middle of the 15th century by Leon Battista Alberti on a building from the 13th century. There is also an Archaeological Museum and a major Art Gallery. It is one of the most famous coastal resorts in Italy with impressive tourist facilities.
