Teramo lies on a hill about 30 km from the Adriatic Sea. Because of it’s University it has also developed as a cultural pole. From the touristic side it is know for it’s numerous monuments such as the remains of a theatre and an amphitheatre and the little Romanesque church of San Getulio. The church of San Francesco, the Archbishop’s Palace and the building where the municipal offices are housed are all from the Middle Ages.
