Venice is a source of pride, internationally, for Italy, a city with such a magical atmosphere that it seems dreamlike. Nevertheless Venice isn't just the protagonist of post cards and films, it really exists, with its bridges and gondoliers and as always the city is the favourite destination for every type of visitor. Wander through its streets and admire the characteristic sights: Piazza San Marco, the Rialto Bridge and the bridge of Sighs that are among the most famous parts. Not to be missed are trips to the nearby islands of Burano (where lace is hand made using a technique dating back to the 1500s), Murano (famous worldwide for its glass blowing) and Torcello (inhabited since the first century). If you are able to visit the city during the Carneval you'll be completely taken over by the incredible atmosphere.
