Lake Barrea is an artificial lake set between the Jannanghera valley and Forca Resuni. It was created in a major calcareous canyon in the Abruzzo National Park, in the Mountain Community of Alto Sangro and the high plain of Cinquemiglia. Towns overlooking the lake are Barrea, Civitella Alfedena and Villetta Barrea.
