LAKE CADORE

Lake Cadore, also known as Lake Calalzo or Lake Pieve di Cadore, is an artificial basin located in Cadore, set among the villages of Pieve and Lozzo (province of Belluno). The lake lies in the narrow valley created by the river Piave and has an elongated form narrowing towards the north. At the centre of the lake, facing Calalzo, there are some small islands that become peninsulas depending to the water level.
