LAKE CAMPOTOSTO
Lake Campotosto
is the largest in Abruzzo and lies at an altitude of 1313 meters. Once an area of marshland the Campotosto basin was transformed into a lake in the 1930s and 1940s to supply the hydro electric plant of the Vomano Valley.
