Lake Monate is a prealpine lake in Lombardy located in the province of Varese between lake Varese aand Lake Maggiore. The lake is fed by underwater springs and has only one emissary in the Acqua Nera canal that flows into lake Maggiore in the borough of Brebbia, in the Sabbie d‘Oro area.
