LAKE PIEDILUCO

Lake Pediluco, the second largest lake in Umbria, was once known as “Lacus velinus” and lies immersed in magnificent woodland. The ancient medieval village of Piediluco is very picturesque with rows of colourful houses separated by narrow cobbled lanes climbing up the hillside. Dominating the village are the ruins of an castle, still imposing and magnificent as in times gone by.
