ALA VALLEY

 
Of the three Lanzo valleys the Ala Valley lies in the middle with the Grande valley to the north and Val di Viù to the south. It is internationally famous as many artefacts from this area are now in some of the most important museums. It is 30 km long and begins under the rock spur of Ceres then climbs to the groups of mountains on the French border. The zones in this valley are: Ceres, Pian di Ceres, Ala di Stura, Villar, Pian del Tetto, Cresto, Martassina, Mondrone, Chialambretto, Balme and Pian della Mussa.
