The Anterselva Valley, one of the most beautiful and unspoilt in Alto Adige, is the ideal place for nature lovers who want a peaceful, relaxing holiday. This valley lies in the north eastern part of Alto Adige and is 18 km long. On crossing the Stalle pass you come to the Defreggen Valley in Austria. At the start of the valley is the town of Rasun then the road leads on to the villages of Anterselva di Sotto, Anterselva di Mezzo then Anterselva di Sopra which is more a scattered collection of farmhouses. Finally you reach Anterselva Lake which can be crossed on foot, with skis or snowshoes during the winter months.
