Ayas is made up of numerous villages among which the most well known are Antagnod, Champoluc, Franchey, Saint-Jacques and Crest. Antagnod, situated at 1728 metres and where the local council offices of Ayas can be found, has a spectacular view of Mount Rosa. It is also one of the main resorts. Champoluc lies in a wide sunny hollow between the mountains with a glacier closing the head of the valley. It is the perfect place for winter and summer holidays and at 1568 metres it is the most popular resort in the Ayas Valley.
