CAMPO FELICE
Campo Felice is a ski resort in the central Apennines, located in Abruzzo in the province of Aquila, in the territory of the borough of Rocca di Cambio and is part of the Tre Nevi Resorts together with Ovindoli-Monte Magnola and Campo Imperatore. It is very popular during the winter season with winter sports fans from central Italy as it's easy to reach (113 km from Rome) and was created on the southern part of the Piana di Campo Felice plateau, within the Sirente - Velino Regional Nature Park. The area is set between the Mount Velino massif, which represents the eastern gateway, the Mount Ocre-Mount Cagno group and the Montagne della Duchessa. The plateau, of carsic-alluvial origins, with a maximum length of 10km and width of 5km lies just above 1500 metres altitude and has the shape of a cone into which the sides of the surroundings mountains slope down, all over 2000 metres.
