CHIANTI

The Chianti Hills area is a small mountain chain between the provinces of Florence, Siena and Arezzo that marks the eastern border of the Chianti region with that of Valdarno and Val di Chiana. The highest peak is Mount San Michele (893 meters above sea level) in the borough of Greve in Chianti, in the province of Florence. The remaining area is mainly hilly and the towns and villages belong to the zone famous for the production of Chianti DOCG red wine.
