Franciacorta is a hilly area between Brescia and the southern point of Lake Iseo. It‘s famous for beautiful scenery as well as excellent red and white wines and is also one of the two Italian spumanti producing areas. The production and marketing of wines and spumanti has become evermore important over recent years so as to win a DOCG. The name Franciacorta has therefore become synonymous with with DOCG spumanti wines produced in the numerous wineries in this area, famous throughout the world.
