ITRIA VALLEY

The Itria Valley is an area of the central part of Puglia, located between the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto and coincides with the southern part of the Murge Plateau. The main attractions of this valley are the Trulli, typical round houses with cone-shaped roofs. The vegetation varies between woodland and typical Mediterranean "macchia" as well as numerous vineyards producing excellent wines such as Locorotondo DOC and Martina Franca DOC and of course ancient olive groves producing Extra Virgin Olive Oil such as Villa Castelli DOC.
