The Mount Rosa massif is the second highest of the Alps with 50 peaks of over 4000 metres and here you’ll find the towns of Alagna Valsesia, Gressoney la Trinitè, Champoluc and Saas Fee. The Capanna Regina Margherita located on the Gnifetti peak is the highest mountain refuge in Europe as well as a weather station and research centre for studying the effects of altitude on humans.
