The Val di Noto lies in the eastern part of Sicily that geographically corrisponds to the southern point of the island and is located in the provinces of Ragusa and Siracusa with a small part in that of Catania. Among all the towns of the Val di Noto, Caltagirone and Militello and in the Val di Catania, Catania, Modica, Noto Palazzolo, Acreide, Ragusa and Scicli were included in the list of World Heritage Sites thanks to the Sicilian Baroque.
