TARO VALLEY

The Taro Valley is located in Emilia Romagna, in the province of Parma and takes it‘s name from the river of the same name that springs from Mount Penna and after covering 126km, flows into the river Po. It borders to the south with the Vale of Vara in Liguria and the Vale of Magra in Tuscany; to the west with the valleys of Ceno and Recchia; to the east with the Valley of the Bagenza river. The Vale of Taro includes the boroughs of Albareto, Bedonia, Borgo Val di Taro, Compiano, Fornovo di Taro, Solignano, Tornolo and Valmozzola as well as a small part of the Ligurian borough of Borzonasco (Giaiette).
