The Vale of Foro is a major valley stretching from the Majella to the Adriatic Sea, traversed by the river Foro, one of the most important of the province of Chieti for it's length and flow rate. The main highway, the SS Val di Foro and Bocca di Valle, also runs through the valley. As well as being an environmental and faunistic reserve, the Vale of Foro, has, over the years taken on a strong industrial and commercial imprint with the creation of important factories and commercial centres.
