BELLUNESI DOLOMITES NATIONAL PARK

 
The Bellunesi Dolomites Park is a protected nature area of Veneto, created in 1990. The Park covers an area of 31,512 hectares, entirely in the province of Belluno, between the river Cismon to the west and the Piave to the east, to the north it stretches to the Maè basin and the lower Agordino to the south. The park comprises the mountain groups of the Feltrine Alps (Feltre, Cimonega, Pizzocco, Brendol, Agnelezze), Sole Mountains, Schiara, Talvéna, Prampèr and Spiz di Mezzodì. There are also high altitude carsic areas and rocky slopes, ideal habitat for numerous mountain species.
