GRAN PARADISO NATIONAL PARK

The Gran Paradiso National Park is divided between Piedmont and the Aosta Valley, embracing the Gran Paradiso Massif and other alpine valleys. The boroughs on the Piedmont side, in the province of Torino are: Ceresole Reale, Locana, Noasca, Ribordone, Ronco Canavese and Valprato Soana. The Gran Paradiso National Park was the first to be created in Italy and includes a vast area of the upper mountains, between the valleys at 800 meters to the 4,061 meters of the Gran Paradiso peak. Forests of larch and fir trees, vast alpine pastures, rock faces and glaciers create the landscape, ideal home for a rich and varied fauna and for interesting visits to discover the amazing scenery of the mountains.
