The Majella National Park lies in the southern part of Abruzzo on the borders between the provinces of Aquila, Pescara and Chieti. It links the Abruzzo Park to the south with the Gran Sasso Laga to the north. The highest point of this group of hills and mountains is Mount Amaro.
