MINCIO NATIONAL PARK

 
The Mincio National Park was founded in 1984 and comprises the river Mincio valley from Lake Garda to the confluence of the river Po. The boroughs of Mantova, Ponti sul Mincio, Monzambano, Volta Mantovana, Goito, Marmirolo Porto Mantovano, Rodigo, Curtatone, Virgilio, Bagnolo San Vito, Roncoferraro and Sustinente are all located within the park confines. The Park covers a vast area of approximately 16,000 hectares and includes the Castellaro Lagusello Regional Reserve, the Bosco Fontana National Reserve and the Regional Reserves of Vallazza and Valles of Mincio.
