MONTI LUCRETILI REGIONAL NATURE PARK

 
The natural riches of the Monti Lucretili Regional Nature Park lies in the particular configuration of the landscape, typically Sub Apennine. It is a nature reserve set on the calcareous ridge of the Lazio Sub-Apennines, covering an area of 18,000 hectares, part of which is completely unspoilt. Although it's near the Capital (30 km), the Park has maintained many of it's woodland areas among which some magnificent beech woods. Important historical and archaeological remains, the presence of 13 borough with their historic town centers, the opportunity to purchase superb local produce such as extra virgin olive oil and accommodation in hotels, holiday farms or bed & breakfast, contibute to making the park an interesting place to visit. You can obtain information about the park at the Visitor Centers in every borough of the protected area. In the protected area you can enjoy excursions of varying difficulty and hiking, thanks to signposts on the tracks, according to CAI norms, for 53 pathways with over 230 km of walks.
