The Mount Rufeno Nature Reserve is a protected area of the Lazio Region. It covers an area of 2.893 hectares in the borough of Acquapendente, in the province of Viterbo. It is home to numerous rare species. In 2005 Mount Rufeno was proposed as a Site of Community Importance together with three other sites within the reserve: the Woods of Sasseto, the Fosso dell‘Acqua Chiara and the Vale of Fossatello.
