The Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Nature Park is located in the eastern sector of the Province of Trento and has three distinct geographic and landscape areas. The northern sector is occupied by the Paneveggio Forest, 2,700 hectares of protected area. The south eastern area comprises the part of the dolomite chain of the Pale di San Martino. The western sector is represented by part of the porphyritic chain of the Lagorai.
