The Tevere Farfa Regional Nature Reserve lies on the border between the province of Rome and that of Rieti, in the area of the boroughs of Nazzano, Torrita Tiberina and Montopoli di Sabina, along the lower bed of the river Tiber. The area of the reserve covers a small part of the ancient flood plain of the Tiber.
