AMALFI COAST
The Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline of the Campania, located south of the Sorrento peninsular, overlooking the Bay of Salerno; it is delimited to the west by Positano and to the east by Vietri sul Mare. It's a stretch of coast famous world wide for it's natural beauty and major holiday resorts. A World Heritage Site, it takes it's name from the town of Amalfi, the heart of the coast not only geographically but also historically. The Amalfi coast is famous for it's diversity as each town on the coast has it's own character and traditions. The Amalfi Coast is also famous for it's typical produce such as Limoncello, a liqueur made with local lemons, the anchovies and the peach preserves made in Cetara and the hand painted ceramics of Vietri. So you can visit and get to know all the well known towns such as Positano, Amalfi and ravello and the towns on the Bay of Salerno such as Maiori, Monori and Vietri sul mare.
