Capraia island is a fascinating volcanic island with amazing rock formations and is part of the Tuscan Archipelago. It is quite small with 27 km of coastline and about 400 inhabitants. Nearly all of the island is under the protection of the National Park as are the tiny islands of la Peraiola, le Formiche, lo Scoglione, lo Scoglio del Gatto and lo Scoglio del Manza.
