The Island of the Maddalena has maintained the fascinating aspect of an ancient fishing village, in stark contrast to the artificial tourist villages of the Sardinian coast, the islands of the Archipelago have been preserved almost intact. The pink granite of many hues emerges magnificent from the Mediterranean vegetation, fragrant with the perfume of myrtle and rosemary, which turns to forest in the hidden coves. The beaches are made up of fine white or rose coloured sand bathed by crystal clear waters.
