The Castelli Romani Wine Trail comprises the boroughs of Marino, Castel Gandolfo, Nemi, Albano Laziale, Genzano di Roma, Velletri, Frascati, Monte Porzio Catone, Grottaferrata, Colonna, Montecompatri and Zagarolo while the participating authorities are the Province of Rome, the 11th Mountain Community, the Castelli Romani Park Authority, the Consortium for the Protection of Denomination of Colli Lanuvini and that of Frascati as well as the Farmers Association of Rome. The itinerary winds along various roads and historic byways that lead to numerous Roman sites. The products under the tutelage of this denomination are the Colli Albani DOC, Colli Lanuvini DOC, Frascati DOC, Marino DOC, Montecompatri-Colonna DOC, Velletri DOC and Zagarolo DOC.
