The Trail of the Antique Red Wines comprises the boroughs of Barletta, Cerignola, Carapelle, Orta Nova, Stornara, Stornarella, Canosa di Puglia, Trinitapoli and San Ferdinando di Puglia and among the participating authorities, the Consortium for the Protection of Barletta Red Wine, the Consortium for the Protection of Canosa Red Wine and the Cciaa of Bari. The trail of the farmsteads winds through the territory of Cerignola, Carapelle, Ortanova, Stornara and Stornarella. Vast expanses of cereals and forrage, orchards, olive groves and vineyards cover the ancient sea bed of the Tavoliere. The products under the tutelage of this wine trail are Red Barletta DOC, Red Canosa DOC, Red of Cerignola DOC and Red Orta Nova DOC.
