The Wine Trail of Sulcis comprises the boroughs of Iglesias, Gonnesa, Villaperuccio, Santadi, Villamassargia, Carbonia, Sant‘Antioca, Tratalias and Teulada. The Sulcis is the home of the Carignano, one of the new red wines of the island, together with Monica and Vermentino di Sardegna. The itinerary begins at Iglesias. The trail also reaches the island of Sant‘Antioca along the three kilometer isthmus that connects it to the main island. The products under the tutelage of this denomination are the Carignano Del Sulcis DOC, Monica di Sardegna DOC, Vermentino di Sardegna DOC, Nasco di Cagliari DOC and Valli di Porto Pino IGT.
