The Wine Trail of the Colline del Ducato comprises the boroughs of Pineto, Roseto degli Abruzzi, Penna S.Andrea and Cermignano and among the participating authorities are the Province of Teramo and Tourist Operators of Teramo. The name Colline del Ducato has it‘s origins from the estate given to the Acquaviva family, of Neapolitan origin, by Henry VI of Swabia. The trail of the Colline Ducato starts at Giulianova, winds through the valleys of Tordino and Vomano, then reaches Notaresco and returns to the coast to touch the boroughs of Roseto and Silvi. If you see the trail on a map it has the form of the letter U. The products under the tutelage of this wine trail are the Montepulciano d‘Abruzzo DOC and Trebbiano d‘Abruzzo DOC.
