The Wine Trail of the Rosso Piceno Superiore comprises the boroughs of Offida, Acquaviva Picena and San Benedetto del Tronto. The Trail lies in an area in which the DOC wines have given extremely interesting results. The itinerary starts at Offida, passes through Acquaviva Picena and reaches San Benedetto del Tronto. Even though the Rosso Piceno Superiore is produced with the same methods as the Rosso Piceno, the two wines are very different both for the geographic areas as for the organoleptic characteristics. The product under the tutelage of this wine trail is the Rosso Piceno DOC.
