WINE TRAIL OF THE TERRA DI LAVORO

The Wine Trail of the Terra di Lavoro comprises the boroughs of Caserta, Aversa, Santa Maria Capua Vetere and Sessa Aurunca. The area stretches from the extinct volcanic cone of Roccamonfina and the calcareous Màssico range. Here they produce a wine famous in Roman times, the Bianco Asprinio of Aversa and the Rosso Galluccio. The products under the tutelage of this wine trail are the Asprinio of Aversa DOC, the Galluccio DOC and the Falerno del Màssico DOC. But there are other products under this denomination such as the Chestnuts of Roccamonfina, the Melannurca of Campania, the Buffalo Mozzarella of Campania DOP and smoked Provola cheese.
