Tuscany

The region of Tuscany is located in central Italy and its territory is defined by the western slopes of the Apennines, comprising the islands of the Tuscan archipelago and overlooking the sea in its west and south-western slopes. It is bordered by the regions of Liguria to the north-west, Emilia-Romagna to the north, Marche and Umbria to the east and Lazio to the south-east. The regional capital is Florence, while the other provincial capitals are: Arezzo, Grosseto, Livorno, Massa-Carrara, Prato, Pistoia, Pisa and Siena.
